Le Canard Goulu’s original shop in St-Apollinaire is charmingly set in a converted chicken coop where the ducks used to be fattened.

Owner Sébastien Lesage learned to raise ducks when he was a kid, but it wasn’t until 1997 that he made the bold move to hang up his lawyer’s robes, put on a flannel shirt, and launch Le Canard Goulu. The business, which raises ducks and specializes in the production, sale, and distribution of duck and foie gras products, combines Sébastien’s love for fine food with his creative impulse and a desire to reconnect with the land.
