Founded in 1867, Brûlerie Rousseau is the oldest roasting house in the city. At the time, the coffee roaster was a tea importer known as Rousseau T! T! T! This is the name that inspired that of Brûlerie Rousseau’s sister company—Monsieur T—which specializes in bulk tea.
Owners Claude Dupuis, the former head of an international film production company, and Guylaine Carrier, a one-time hair salon owner, parlayed their flair for business and their passion for coffee into a new career leading Brûlerie Rousseau.
The roasting house’s mission is to deliver a superior coffee experience to each and every customer. The aromas at the shop invite you to explore planet coffee with Claude and Guylaine, who share their love of the bean by providing quality products and top-notch service.
