In 1918, with the help of a government grant, the Pedneault family planted the first 300 apple and fruit trees on their ancestral property on Isle-aux-Coudres in the Charlevoix region. Since then, the family business has gone from accomplishment to accomplishment, growing steadily over the years. The year 1999 marked a major milestone, with the addition of a wine cellar, vinegar plant, and cider mill that enabled the Pedneault family to roll out a range of new products made on site, including cider and related products, as well as mistelles and vinegars.
In 2007 the business proudly won a number of prizes at Québec City’s Festival de la gastronomie food festival. Eight Pedneault products are available at most Québec liquor board (SAQ) locations and at more than 150 grocery stores. Cidrerie et Verger Pedneault has also been a member of Québec’s Economuseum network since 2003.
